I find that quiet moments can be hard to come by. This drawing brings a sense of stillness to any space. The gradual blending of colors makes this skyscape calming and mesmerizing to look at.

I created this skyscape shortly after becoming a new mother. At the time I wasn’t sure what being an artist and mother would look like and I feared that I would have to give up my passion. After much soul searching I decided that my perspective is everything. I could look at this life shift as the end or I could look at it as the start of something amazing and beautiful. I chose the latter.

The moon has been here since the beginning of time. I am fascinated by the thought that everyone in history has gazed upon the same moon. Meditating on the permanence of this celestial body gives me a new perspective on the time limits I place on myself. There are no deadlines.

Peace of mind is very important to me. Moving to Alamogordo, NM has exposed me to a tranquility unlike anything I have experienced. Alamogordo is filled with so much natural beauty. The quietness, unique plants, and wide skies intrigue me.
