I would love to bring your idea to life!

Decide on the subject matter:
Commissions can be photographs recreated as detailed drawings or artwork created from concepts that are purely from your imagination.
To order a custom portrait or landscape, send me a clear, well lit photograph to use as a reference. Let me know any details you would like to add or leave out of the image. For conceptual art in which there are no photographs available, describe your idea as best as possible. I will work to ensure the art I come up with is what you have in mind.
Choose the dimensions:
Select the size you would like your artwork to be. Make sure the dimensions work well on the wall space you have available. Prices vary by size and art medium. Black and white works are created in graphite pencil. Color works are created with colored pencil and pastel.
Payment and Booking:
A signed contract and 50% deposit is required to start. The remaining amount is due upon artwork completion. (For works larger than 18″ x 24″, a 35% deposit is required. The remaining amount is split into 2 payments.) Forms of payment accepted include PayPal, check, money order, and cash (for local orders only).
Waitlist:
It is likely that I may be working on a commission for another client when you contact me. In this instance I will let you know the earliest date that I can begin your artwork (You can also find my next opening date above). To reserve your place on my waitlist, a signed contract and deposit payment is required. (Deposits paid to be placed on the waitlist are fully refundable anytime before I begin the art.) I will contact you on your start date to let you know that I am ready to begin.
Process:
I will keep you updated on the progress of the artwork throughout the entire process. Creating a custom piece of art is a joint effort between the artist and client. Feedback is welcomed! (Click here to see a blog post detailing the process of a previous commission I completed.)
Timeframe:
The length of time required to complete the work is at least 6 weeks from your start date on the waitlist. Exact timeframe depends on my studio schedule, art dimensions, complexity, and art medium. I will work with you to find a deadline that works for both of us.
